Steppe (2023)

This impressionist oil painting captures the vast Donetsk steppe under a high, clear sky. The artist used saturated, bright colors and impasto strokes to convey the palpable warmth of the wind and the enduring light of a summer day. Inspired by a 2016 trip to Eastern Ukraine, this work is part of the "My Independent" series.
